Red Light Ride 2010

Saturday 5th June 2010 Whip Industries travelled 5 hours to the small rural township of Boolarra in the Eastern Strzelecki Ranges for the second Red Light Ride trail ride. The Red Light Ride had two loops to contend with, one for licensed and registered bikes which saw the bikes take on some rough and tough terrain in the Boolarra State Forrest, and a new loop for this year a 5km track cut in on private property for the unregistered bikes.
Although the Whip Industries team were there to perform some demos for the Monster Energy after party the conditions were way too good to pass up a few loops on the unregistered course. The new Kawasaki KLX110L’s ate up the moist conditions with ease. The whole team in attendance of Travis, Nathan, Jake, Andrew and even Mic man Hayden took to the 5km track for some fun.
After blowing off some steam on the course we headed into town to set-up for the nights proceedings. Setting up in the car park of the Boolarra pub the team had a quick practice before the evening’s event.
With spirits high for what was to be our first show on the new KLX110L’s the heavens opened and tried to do its best to stop us, however the Whip Industries Mini Bike team isn’t that easily deterred and went out despite the slick down ramp, rain and lack of time on the bikes and still turned it on for a very appreciative crowd. The whole team managed to do the backflip along with a few tricks but ultimately we had to cut the show short because of the dangerous conditions.
Whip Industries would like to thank Mel and the Red Light Ride, Ross and the Boolarra pub crew for their hospitality and the Red Light Ride competitors for their support.

Whip Industries will be performing at the Echuca Steam Rally on the 12th of June so to all our home town fans make sure you come and support the team on their new bikes.
