Mt Gambier Show
October 23rd, 24th, and 25th 2009 marked a special weekend for the Whip Industries mini bike team. For this weekend was the first time our team had ventured to South Australia to perform and it was also our first 3 day show.
So the scene was set, 3 days, 11 shows, and plenty of excitement from both crowd and team alike.
The highlight of the weekend was the Saturday night show performed in front of approximately three and a half thousand people. With all the team stepping up to the plate the riding was a notch above normal. Declan Heyes and Jake Spooner were on fire with plenty of flip combos and seat grab tricks.
Andrew Nilbett was back with some one-handed back flips.
Travis Whitten rode solidly with some big supermans and double nacs.
Last but not least Nathan Whitten got back in the swing of things with his huge bag of tricks and even stomped some huge double nacs.
Whip Industries would like to thank our sponsors for the event Green Triangle Security, Gambier Earthmoving, and Flight Centre.
So with another successful road trip in the books we all come away with some great memories and hope to head across the border again soon.
Whip Industries are performing on the 31st October at the Riverside Freestyle event at Rotary Park in Echuca. This is a fully supervised drug and alcohol event in conjunction with Freeza. There will be plenty of entertainment for the whole family so come along and say hi! All proceeds go towards a new skate park for the Echuca Moama area. |
